22nd November - Composition

Today I got more parts down and double tracked my bass line and drums. I spent a long time experimenting with the Limiters and Expanders trying to get my drums sounding large and PHAT.

Also worked on some bridge chords.

18th November Composition

Twisted the drum track, and came up with a solid chord progression and chorus chord sequence. Also automation with effects using SilverVerb and TapeEcho.

Got a definite idea now, and a drum track and bass line to go along with it. it's a bit more funky.

Looking for sounds for backing chords now.

4th November

Today got half way through getting the drum track down and some of the sounds for the hi-hat and cymbal sounds. Worked out the majority of the bass line too.

21st October

Today I got down the basic drum track through out the Song on Logic's Ultrabeat.



I wasn't too sure about the sound qualities or the sequencing that Logic could offer so I looked into Rewiring Reason with Logic live so Spent a while learning how to do it and getting it done, however the drums didn't totaly work in Logic so will be spending some of next lesson doing the slight adjustments.

19th October

Wrote down the structure and times, the BPM, the instruments, kind of worked out the drum track and looked for some of the brass instruments.

The BPM is 118.

Today got the drum beat down, and levelled, and thought of a rough structure,. I'll put some kinda screen shots up here net lesson.
